Hexadecimal To Binary
Reverse Conversion
How This Converter Works
Expands each hexadecimal digit to four bits, then removes zeroes from the start of the combined bit string.
Formula or rule
Map each validated hexadecimal character to its four-bit nibble, concatenate the nibbles, strip leading zeroes, and use 0 if no bits remain.
Example
- Input
- 2F
- Calculation
- 2 → 0010 and F → 1111; concatenation 00101111 with leading zeroes removed.
