Hertz To Seconds Per Cycle Converter
Reverse Conversion
How This Converter Works
This converter changes hertz (Hz) into seconds per cycle (s/cycle). One hertz is one cycle per second and is the SI unit of frequency. Seconds per cycle is the period: the time taken to complete one cycle.
Formula or rule
T (s/cycle) = 1 / f (Hz)
Example
- Input
- 4 Hz
- Calculation
- Step 1: Start with 4 Hz. Step 2: Apply T (s/cycle) = 1 / f (Hz). Step 3: 4 Hz converts to 0.25 s/cycle.
- Result
- 0.25 s/cycle
Notes
The period is the reciprocal of frequency when expressed in cycles per second. A zero frequency has no finite period; enter a non-zero frequency. Negative values produce a signed reciprocal result.
