URL Encoder
Reverse Conversion
How This Converter Works
Percent-encodes a URI with JavaScript encodeURI. URI syntax characters such as colon, slash, question mark, ampersand, and equals are preserved; spaces and non-ASCII text are encoded.
Formula or rule
Output = encodeURI(input), using UTF-8 bytes for percent-encoded characters.
Example
- Input
- https://example.com/a b?q=x y
- Calculation
- Each space is percent-encoded as %20; URI delimiters remain unchanged.
- Result
- https://example.com/a%20b?q=x%20y
