CMYK To HSL
Reverse Conversion
How This Converter Works
Converts CMYK percentages to HSL by first calculating normalized RGB channels, without printer-specific color profiles.
Formula or rule
R=(1-C)(1-K), G=(1-M)(1-K), B=(1-Y)(1-K); L=(max(R,G,B)+min(R,G,B))/2, S=0 when channels are equal and otherwise (max-min)/(1-|2L-1|), and hue follows the standard 60° RGB sector formula.
Example
- Input
- C=67%, M=0%, Y=67%, K=25%
- Calculation
- RGB≈(0.2475,0.75,0.2475); L≈0.499, S≈0.504, and equal red/blue with green maximum gives H=120°.
- Result
- hsl(120, 50%, 50%)
